THOMAS HOEPKER, geboren 1936, gehörte jahrzehntelang zum festen Mitarbeiterstab des STERN, als Photograph, Korrespondent in Ost-Berlin und New York, später auch als Art Director. Bereits 1968 erhielt er den Kulturpreis der DGPh, 1975 wurde ihm das Bundesverdienstkreuz verliehen. Heute lebt Thomas Hoepker in New York, von 2002 bis 2006 war er Präsident der renommierten Photo-Agentur Magnum.

THOMAS HOEPKER, born 1936, worked for STERN magazine as a photographer, art director and as correspondent, in East-Berlin and New York. His photographic achievements have been awarded with the Kulturpreis of the DGPh in 1968 and the German Federal Order of Merit in 1975. Today, Hoepker lives in New York and, from 2002 to 2006, was president of Magnum.
